Carroll O'Connor
August 2, 1924 - June 21, 2001.

Carroll O'Connor was best known as Archie Bunker on the 1970's sitcom "All in The Family". Carroll was also known as Bill Gillespie on "The Heat Of The Night". Carroll also guest starred on millions of other sitcoms, such as "Mad About You". He was in a numerous amount of movies, and was a very good actor.

Mr.O'Connor had diabetes, and has had trouble with his heart for many years. Carroll was hospitalized in November at the UCLA Medical Center where he had an toe amputated because of a circulatory problem related to his diabetes. He also has had by-pass surgery on his heart a few years back. Unfortantly, Carroll died of a heart attack on June 21st, 2001 at 3PM Pacific Time.
